Pablo rips through Mindanao

REUTERS - Typhoon Pablo (Bopha), the strongest tropical storm to hit the Philippines this year, slammed into Mindanao on Tuesday, destroying homes, cutting power and forcing the cancellation of flights and ferry services, officials said.

AUGUST 28, 2012 - A BIG TIME festivity is set on March 1, 2013 because the first university in Western Visayas, the University of San Agustin, will be marking its 60th anniversary of its elevation to a university.

Augustinians support Palawan anti-mining push

THE SAVE PALAWAN MOVEMENT, a multi-sectoral partnership of concerned environmental, religious, other civic groups and academic organizations, launched a “Symposium on Mining” together with the “No to Mining in Palawan” signature campaign to raise ten million signatures against mining in the country at the University of San Agustin Auditorium, February 15.

Outside Courts undergo 10-M makeover

THE UNIVERSITY of San Agustin basketball courts located outside the gymnasium is undergoing a 10 million renovation in part of the implementation of the university’s strategic plan for 2004-2013, under its goal to provide quality infrastructure and support facilities to students.

Fr. Generous P. Gonesto, OSA, Vice-President for Academic Affairs said that this is to put into effect the USA Physical master plan that was comprehensively been discussed for the betterment of the university.
